These beautifully framed portraits are faithful reproductions of original 18th century Chinese watercolours dating back to the Qing dynasty, treasured family heirlooms that once belonged to Alice's father in law, an avid art collector with a deep appreciation for Asian art. Carefully reproduced as fine art prints, they offer the opportunity to bring a small piece of this history into your own home.
Intended as a pair to hang either side of a bed, as pictured, they are equally beautiful displayed on their own, above a desk, in a hallway, or wherever a quiet, thoughtful detail is needed. Available separately or as a set of two.
Each print is framed entirely by hand in the UK. The detailed frames are delicately gilded, while the fabric mount is upholstered in Chinese tea silk, a delicate, lightweight silk also known as Si silk or Habotai, traditionally used throughout Asia for fine garments and elegant interiors.
As always we offer a bespoke service and therefore these pictures can be made to any size, with a gilt or coloured Gesso frame. For bespoke commissions, please contact studio@alicecrawley.co.uk
International shipping is available. If you are ordering from outside the UK, please email studio@alicecrawley.co.uk for a tailored shipping quotation based on your location.
